Paul Knecht - Photojournalist

Born in Germany, Paul first studied graphic design at the Merz Akademie in Stuttgart. During his studies he interned in a graphic studio in Tel Aviv, Israel, travelling the country on the weekends. Paul then decided to become a photographer. He continued to study photography at the university of applied sciences in Munich, where he finished his B.A. in summer 2012. Right after, Paul interned at the DPA (Deutsche Presse-Agentur) in Munich as a daily news photographer.

In the last years he has worked on reportages in Sudan, South Sudan, Turkey, Israel and Europe.
His photos and stories have been published by the Süddeutsche Zeitung (SZ), Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung (FAZ), Tagesspiegel, Stuttgarter Zeitung, Augsburger Allgemeine, the Amnesty Journal and online.

Living in Bavaria, Germany, he is now leading an event agency.

Languages spoken: German, English, French, some Hebrew and basic Arabic.
